Longstanding Expertise
Altech European started in Auckland 24 years ago as The Vehicle Care Company, setting up a workshop to service 100 of the Sultan Of Brunai's Mercedes. Before this, we ran a BMW and a Mercedes Dealership and service centre in Johannesburg. After the Sultan left, we continued to work on the highest quality vehicles and word spread of the expert knowledge available. The owner Wayne is a fully qualified Petrol, Diesel, Hydrogen and Aircraft Technician. Even down to being called to the RAF Base to trouble shoot a Hercules that wouldn't start! Wayne is absolutely passionate about engines and frequently knows what the problem is just from hearing the car drive in!
We have invested in the latest diagnostic technology, and the highest standard of vehicle servicing to bring you the absolute best level of servicing and have affordable pricing. Established in 1999, the workshop was one of Auckland’s and subsequently the North Shore's first Independant European vehicle specialists.
Today, now located on the outskirts of Blenheim, we continue to operate as an expert European vehicle workshop, but also offer total mechanical repairs to all other brands and models, including 4WDs / 4x4s and European Campervans. Our expertise lies in servicing and repairing European makes such as Audi, Volkswagen (VW), BMW, Mercedes as well as Sports marques - Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche etc.
